Eurydice lives in Hades

Poetry Expo 24

While crossing the city, Bárbara, listening to Euridice's voice, seems to imagine the real, or make the real a place from another kingdom. Is Hades the world of today, or a parallel, mythological, fantasy universe? What are we talking about anyway? A literary composition with poetic intention that deals with the tragedy of now? This is how it seems to be determined.

This is a lyrical composition that has already begun, all of us have started it, daily, from the common mythological ancestry that is constantly mirrored. The tragedy and the fatality that dances with man and the society he generated. The reality that exists and haunts everyone. The invocation of the divine, the constant request for a blessing in the search for absolute morality, as well as, and then, the erasure of it all. Bárbara walks along these poles, wavering with each step, with each encounter. Walking through a past that unfolds in events up to the present, it will not be restricted to just these two places, but to all eras, to any and all historical episodes, artistic or other movements, that Eurydice has observed over time - and that Bárbara listens, discusses, approves.

The project is part of the subthemes Climate Crisis and Poetry, Literature as a tool for social equality and Global unity and shared futures.
