Sabine Schiffner

Sabine Schiffner, born in Bremen in 1965, has received many prizes and scholarships for her volumes of poetry and novels published since 1994, including: the Jürgen Ponto Prize from the Dresdner Bank for the best debut novel of 2005 (Childbed Fever, S. Fischer), a residency scholarship at the Villa Aurora in L.A., 2006 and the Schiller Foundation's honorary gift for her lyrical work, 2012. 2021/2022 She received two residency scholarships at Atelier Galata in Istanbul (2021/2022), thanks to which she lived and worked in Istanbul for a total of nine months. She also works as a literary translator from Georgian and French, She lives and works in Cologne
